Dome loaded relief valve (D)

Description

Low pressure relief valves control primary pressure (p1, ahead the valve). The low pressure relief valve (also back pressure relief valve) LPS is used in chemical and pharmaceutical industries for blanketing or inertization of reactors, storage tanks and vessels with inert gas such as nitrogen.

Technology

The spring loaded construction with large diaphragm provides an excellent control
performance. A direct guided valve with large size enables fine regulation of back pressure as well as safe pressure relief at varying gas flow rate.

Application

The back pressure relief valve LPS/D works similar to LPS. But in addition, a dome pressure of up to 2000 mbar relative can be applied via “Dconnection”. So the regulator can be used with higher reference pressure to "blow-out" vessels for example. A pneumatic control unit can be offered and delivered accordingly.
