Pressure reducing valve PR15/25, SST

Description

The secondary pressure regulator Type PR15/25 is the ideal regulator for pressure control. It can be used wherever pressure has to be kept constant or limited. Handling and maintenance is very simple. The regulator is mainly used in chemical, pharmaceutical and food processing industry.

Technology

PR15/25 is a dome or spring loaded pressure regulator. Under non operating conditions, the adjustable range spring or the dome pressure acts on top of diaphragm and opens valve via a stem. Under operating conditions, gas enters from primary (p1) through the valve and reaches counter side of diaphragm. As a result, the secondary pressure is exactly in balance with the force of adjustable range spring or with dome pressure. The valve will be closed as soon as secondary pressure (p2) raises set point of adjustable range screw. Valve will be open again, with secondary pressure below set point. Valve seat tightness is at least according to VDI/VDE 2174. PR15/25 is vacuum-proof, manufactured in decreasing design and uses no external energy.
